Peace.

Tranquility.

Free from disturbance.

A state or period where war has ended.

Calmness.

I am sure we could toss around a few other definitions. BUT what about biblical peace. The peace that passes all understanding. The peace that comes from fully trusting that you can sit in the comfort of knowing He will never leave you or forsake you. That He will meet all your needs. That He is always for you, NEVER against you and His plan is always greater.

All we have to do is trust and rest in those things.

Easy, right?

This another one of those moments where I would look you dead in the eye and say, “It’s me, hi, I’m the problem it’s me.”

Because I believe all these things about Him.

I KNOW He has a plan.

I KNOW He will provide.

I KNOW He is who He says He is and His Word is Truth.

I KNOW He never leaves me or forsakes me (no matter how much I have ran).

I KNOW….

And then you find yourself in a season where it all seems to make no sense. Everything you thought was “right” seems like a distant memory.

And the enemy is poised and ready.

Ready to capture those small anxious thoughts and turn them into full blown panic attacks. Ready to take every moment of joy and remind you of the the unknown to come. Ready to deceive you and keep you from the one thing you need the most.

Truth.

Let me tell you, sometimes the enemy grips me before I even know it has happened and it is because I chose emotions over prayer. Emotions over opening His Truth. I chose to feel instead of trust…even when I know better.

For me, the struggle with my emotions and my knowledge can be a rough battle. I feel so deeply that I sometimes forget what I already deeply know.

He is Provider.

He is Healer.

He is Truth.

He has a plan and it is greater than what I can imagine.

Faith. Trust. Hope. BELIEVE.

So I leave you with these today and know that you are not alone.

1 Peter 5:7 (esv): “casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

John 16:33 (esv): “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Philippians 4:7 (esv): “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
